The First Company
Founded in 1818, this Kyoto-based heritage tea company is engaged in the wholesale, retail, and processing of tea and tea products. With more than two centuries of history, quality overseen by a jūdan tea master, and an authenticity rooted in Kyoto, it is the first company to join Ibuki Group.
Founded in 1818, it is among the oldest matcha houses established in Kyoto.
A tea master certified at jūdan, the highest rank, oversees everything from product development to quality control. In the history of the national tea appraisal competition, which began in 1956, only a very small number of tea masters across Japan have been certified at this rank.
Its very roots in Kyoto deepen the brand's authenticity, its story, and the experience it offers.
